Rhett and Other Things

We traveled to Phoenix over Christmas to be with Russ's family. Although it was really stressful preparing for a Christmas away from home and anticipating a really long flight ride with Piper, once we got there we had a great time. On Christmas night we had dinner with the Jenkins crew and just hung out and played games. We were playing Apples to Apples which is fun but not really intended for a five year old. That being said, Rhett couldn't not get right in the middle of it with all the laughing that was going on by the adults. (I might add that the laughing from the adults was probably helped out by some wine and other spirits...shh, don't tell.) Well, Rhett plopped right down and joined in the game and had a grand old time. He had no idea what he was doing but laughed when everyone else laughed and put down cards when he was told and even won a round or two. Even though he wasn't getting all the jokes he was genuinely having the time of his life. We were able to snap some photos of pure joy.
